Hotel Royal Prisco is on the small thoroughfare that winds through the centre of Positano, and since it is located next to the road, you have to expect a little traffic noise from the balconies. But there is not much through traffic as such except for the small local bus and tourists who have taken a wrong turn.
If you wish to arrive by bus, you can get off almost on the doorstep, that way you won't have to worry about parking. If you arrive by car however, there is parking for a payment nearby and also in a garage approx. 100 metres away. The hotel is down in the town so it is just a short stroll to the beach and the harbour.
The hotel has 12 rooms which are divided into standard rooms, deluxe rooms and junior suites. They are all nice and classically decorated and have a balcony with sea views. The rooms have a telephone, satellite TV, a safety deposit box, air conditioning and a bathroom with a shower or a bath, a hairdryer and toiletries. The deluxe rooms are slightly larger and have a mini-bar. The site is not recommended for families with children.
