Listen to the sounds of nature

The background music to this magical Amalfi Coast scene is the sound of the waves, lapping on the beach and cliffs below the hotel. Whilst you listen to the sounds of nature, you can feast your eyes on the magnificent views of the blue sea and spectacular coastline.

Stunning sea views

Since the hotel is built into the rocks, you are overlooking the blue sea from every point and the views are just spectacular. If you are a lover of beauty and nature, and you wish to watch breathtaking sunrises and romantic sunsets, Onda Verde is the place for you. As well as the views, you will notice the style and a warm hospitality from all the Milano family members that work at the hotel. They have managed the hotel for three generations, and they have every reason to be proud of it. This makes staying here a very special and personal experience, since it is not part of a large impersonal chain.

Dine in the renowned restaurant

Of course all the fresh air will make you hungry and you can be sure to eat well at the fine dining restaurant at Hotel Onda Verde that is featured in several food guides. It is elegantly decorated without being overdone, and the special crystal clear light that characterizes the Amalfi Coast shines in from all sides. You can enjoy both breakfast and dinner on the open-air terrace, weather permitting. From the reception there are steps leading to the rooms that are spread out along the cliffs.

Spend days on the beach

Right below the hotel is a fabulous public beach which can be reached via a pathway of approx. 100 metres. Here you can rent parasols and sun loungers and buy refreshments and snacks. From the beach you can also take water taxis to other beaches and towns and boat trips in general along the coast where you will see this dramatic and enchanting coastline from a different angle.

Individual rooms with ocean views

The hotel has 25 rooms which are all slightly different and individually decorated. They all have air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet, sat TV, a mini-bar, a safety deposit box, a private bathroom with a toilet, a bath or a shower and a hairdryer. All rooms have sea views and the room types vary according to the size of the private outdoor area. The smaller it is, the less you pay. Standard rooms have no outdoor area - they have either a window or French balcony. Although there are few rooms that have the ability to sleep up to four people (double bed + bunk bed), it is our opinion that the hotel is best suited for adults and not for families. The reason is that activities for children on site are very limited and the nearby beach is not very child friendly.

Good service at reception

The level of English spoken at reception is quite high, which is handy when trying to request things and book trips etc. The level of service is high, and thanks largely to the enthusiasm that the young Francesco Milano shows, there is great hope that this hotel will become one of our favorite hotels for many years.

Fantastically beautiful place

A super lovely place with a fantastically beautiful location over the Amalfi Coast and the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea.
A place which allows for the peace to settle over body and soul. Bring a good book, enjoy the place and the surrounding area. You don't go for long drives because of the mountains. Instead use the local water taxis.

It doesn't get any better.

When a stay in one of the most beautifully located hotels on the Amalfi coast is combined with an incredibly hospitality and service, you can't get the place credit enough. Good food and drink in the hotels restaurant as well as at the nearby restaurants. Good opportunity for bathing from the cliffs (families with small kids should pick another place).
Hotel Onda Verde gets our warmest recommendation. Thank you for a good stay.

Review of Hotel Onda Verde

Magnificent view with balcony. Easy access to the beach. Comfortable reception.

The rest disappointed us a bit...
The restaurant was a bit average compared to the quality of the hotel.
No soundproofing in the rooms.
Parking was pretty impossible, as it is in this region.
The air condition couldn't be set at night.
Breakfast was pretty average, sparse selection, bread and cookies of half-boring quality, industry apple juice, which is a shame in the part of Italy.

What you really pay for, is the location and view, which are fantastic!
You can rent towels and space on the beach against pay.
Expensive for the restaurant quality. Staff is kind and the hotel is clean and nice.
