A super lovely place with a fantastically beautiful location over the Amalfi Coast and the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea.
A place which allows for the peace to settle over body and soul. Bring a good book, enjoy the place and the surrounding area. You don't go for long drives because of the mountains. Instead use the local water taxis.

Amalfi Coast as a holiday destination

The best place to eat was at the hotel. Fantastically delicious homemade food served by a enthusiastic, polite and very informative staff.
The small towns along the Amalfi Coast are lovely, however Ravello was incredibly beautiful and luxuriant with the nice houses with glazed tiles and flowering gardens/parks.
Positano was a fun and different shopping town due to the narrow pedestrian way with stairs, which was covered in vines and went directly down to the beach.

The rest disappointed us a bit...
The restaurant was a bit average compared to the quality of the hotel.
No soundproofing in the rooms.
Parking was pretty impossible, as it is in this region.
The air condition couldn't be set at night.
Breakfast was pretty average, sparse selection, bread and cookies of half-boring quality, industry apple juice, which is a shame in the part of Italy.

What you really pay for, is the location and view, which are fantastic!
You can rent towels and space on the beach against pay.
Expensive for the restaurant quality. Staff is kind and the hotel is clean and nice.

When a stay in one of the most beautifully located hotels on the Amalfi coast is combined with an incredibly hospitality and service, you can't get the place credit enough. Good food and drink in the hotels restaurant as well as at the nearby restaurants. Good opportunity for bathing from the cliffs (families with small kids should pick another place).
Hotel Onda Verde gets our warmest recommendation. Thank you for a good stay.

Recommendations for future guests

If you want to rent a car rent a small one. The roads are narrow and there is lots of traffic. It is quite the experience to visit the nearby towns on the Amalfi coast.
