This stylish villa with apartments, hotel rooms and suites is a wonderful resort in a great location just 7 km from the sea on the Amalfi Coast. From Villa Rizzo, you can easily visit the rest of the Amalfi Coast, the Cilento nature reserve, or the fascinating Greek temples of Paestum and Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvius.
The villa was built in the late 19th Century and has been in the Rizzo family for generations. It was originally a farm which consisted of a main building and stables and other building for the storage of crops. The current owners Lisa and Gaetano Rizzo chose to open their home to tourists and have completely renovated it all, but have taken great care to ensure that there is still the feeling of living in a mansion in the countryside. The family offers accommodation in double rooms, junior suites and apartments and they all have internet access.

Sig. Rizzo is now retired, but worked all his life as a pharmacist in Positano on the Amalfi Coast - a job that his son Roberto has now taken over. In connection with this change, the parents chose to live on the family estate, and therefore contribute greatly to the very cosy and familiar atmosphere, helped by their loyal staff who take care for both guests and the many animals that characterise the place.
The whole area is surrounded by fences and the grounds are accessed by a long road through large iron gates. You pass through the family's orchard before arriving at the car park and then the three buildings that make up the Masseria della Nocciola
On the ground floor of the main building is a beautifully decorated restaurant. Until a few years the family itself ran their own restaurant, but now it is leased out to a wonderful chef who is likely to be awarded a Michelin star in the near future. The restaurant is closed on Mondays, and can on occasion also be closed for private events. It is also possible to participate on a cooking course here, which can be arranged upon request.
There is a small scenic lake behind the main building which is home to many white geese, who freely roam the land along with the peacocks when not swimming in the lake. One can also find a wonderful swimming pool with a terrace, sun loungers and shaded areas, from where there are the most beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and mountains.
In February 2009, The Rizzo family opened the doors of a new wellness centre which is free to use for guests and includes a gymnasium, sauna and spa, and massage treatments are available (for an extra fee). The facilities are primarily for over 18's, but children of age 12 and upwards are permitted to use the facilities providing they are accompanied by an adult.
Villa Rizzo offers accommodation in double rooms, junior suites and an apartment.
