Albergo Zi'Ntonio is a cosy family run hotel in the small hamlet of Scala which is open all year round. It enjoys a fantastic location situated 360 m above sea level just across from Ravello and there is a fantastic view from all the rooms.
The hotel is surrounded by chestnut woods in a quiet and lush area in the middle of the Amalfi coastline, which is known for its mild climate, and it's a perfect place to take walks. It takes approx. 45 minutes to walk down to the town of Amalfi along trails and down a series of steps. If the walk is too much for you, from here there is also a bus service to both Ravello and Amalfi every hour from the square in Scala which is approx. a 10 minutes' walk.

If you are interested in classical music, this is also a perfect spot as there are classical concerts in the nearby Ravello several times a week (except for a few weeks during winter). The area is popular for classical music lovers as the nearby retreat 'San Cataldo' which was once a monastery gives shelter to artists and writers throughout the year.
When hunger calls, you don't have to go far as you can dine in the hotel's restaurant on the terrace overlooking the sea. In addition to the famous restaurant at the hotel, there are also some comfortable common rooms, a small garden, a terrace and a swimming pool and a car park. Breakfast is simple and Italian.
There are 20 rooms in total here and all are comfortably furnished and have en suite bathroom and a terrace with views towards Ravello, the mountains and the sea. Please note, that from 1/8-31/8 the hotel only accept bookings for half board or full board.
It was a really nice vacation, even though the taxi driver had a written a wrong sign, so it took us 1 hour to find each other in the airport. The hotel is situated perfect and the staff are sweet and helpful. The room was fine. The shower had a couple of issues...
Good food in the restaurant - but we had the same breakfast everyday for 7 days. Maybe a bit more change in the menu would help..

Beautiful view! Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds. Very well prepared and genuine italian food. Very kind and friendly staff. Good and free parking lot. Nice hiking areas around Scala. And from here to Amalfi or Lazzaro.
