Furthermore, everything is in easy reach; the central piazza and the beach are just around 200 metres away, and you have a wealth of wonderful excursion options every day either on the sea and to the islands, to towns on the Amalfi Coast such as Positanto or Amalfi, or to Naples and all the way to Pompei.
The hotel is run by a local family from Sorrento, and they are responsible for the daily operations of both the hotel part and the good restaurant "Vela Bianca". Here you can taste many delicious dishes typical of the Campania region, and especially seafood dishes that are known as 'fruits of the sea' in Italian. Pizza is also available on the menu - goes without saying since Pizza was pretty much invented here, or you can simply enjoy a drink at the bar.

I only gave it average because we got rooms all the way on the 5-6th floor with slanted windows, though it was brilliantly furnished with a mirror, so that you could see a bit out. Otherwise the service was very fine and good. Can warmly be recommended. It lies well relative to trips to Capri, among other places. There is an elevator close to the hotel, that leads straight up to the pulverising Sorrento. Very cosy place straight down to the harbour with a cafe, bars and restaurants.
