A view you will not forget
You may find quite a few hotels in Sorrento and surrounding area the allow you good views, but this definitely one of those hotels offering you superior views along the coast
We can consider Miramare an actual boutique hotel allowing you to stay in a personal atmosphere where service is taken seriously and comfort is the norm.
On the headland, as an extension of the city of Sorrento, you find a point named Capo di Sorrento where Hotel Residence Miramare is located. Inside the hotel we are immediately attracted by the view on the crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Napels, the coastline of Sorrento and in the far distance the Vesuvius. The city centre is within easy reach, at about a 10 minutes walk and the liveliest square of Sorrento, Piazza Tasso, is located at 2 km walk. We found the views are definitely worth the walk.
As there is only a bar where you can get refreshments and light snacks and no restaurant, you could choose for a digestive walk after dinner up to the hotel. You can take the car of course, but parking in Italian cities, especially in season, is always a challenge.

Lovely outdoor areas to choose from
The hotel offers great facilities to relax and allows the option of not doing anything at all for a day. The multiple levels offer various terraces and a sundeck where you can choose to lay or sit down with your morning coffee or just with your book and towel, enjoying the view of the Gulf of Naples. If you run too hot, there is a small but fine pool to cool you down.
If you prefer to have a dive in the crystal clear waters? Just a little but further down the road you have access to a lovely beach cove. Watch out if you go out for a walk, as the hotel is located next to a road and around Naples and the more south they tend to have different driving styles..
Simple rooms
With only 26 rooms Miramare is quite a small place. The rooms are quite standard yet very comfortable. Both come with air-conditioner, flatscreen television, mini fridge, wifi connection and private bathroom.
