Casamicciola is a small town which is located on the north coast of the Island of Ischia, in between Ischia town and the town Forio. The town makes a living from its spas, which have attracted tourists since the 17th century.
The town has also a particularly fine harbour promenade. Visitors have included the Norwegian dramatist Ibsen who spent time here. The island is approx. 5.6 km² with around 7000 inhabitants.
