Milano Marittima is an outer suburb of Cervia and one of the last seaside towns north of Rimini. Beyond this, the landscape opens up to a large area characterized by reclaimed seabed and salt lakes.

Cervia retains an old charm feel with a small harbour, canal, old houses and cosy streets. Over the years, the town has become a gem with lovely shops, spas, green areas, golf courses and elegant boulevards surrounded by pine groves.

The atmosphere is relaxed and charming and quite exclusive. It becomes pretty crowded during the peak summer months but not as much as in other coastal towns along the Emila-Romagna coastline. The beaches are very pleasant, wide and inviting and there are plenty of cafe's and restaurants in the beach area.

Many sports enthusiasts flock to the area, not least because of the wide variety of sports. There is a major new sports centre founded by the Italian national football team star Ciccio Graziani, a great golf club 'Adriatic Golf Club' (27 holes), tennis centres and an Equestrian Club in the area.

During the last week of March the 'Sportur Bicycle Show' is held here which involves various cycling events, exhibitions and so on.
