The mild climate, the sun, the beach, the mountains, the food and the happy locals, also loving children. There is not much negative to say about Italy as a holiday destination when the family holiday should be planned.

However, it may well be a bit of a must, the actual golden rule applies that all family members should be satisfied during the holiday. And it must be the holiday of all. Well at least important is that no one is bored, and that good atmosphere characterizes your common holiday experience. Therefore, it may be wise to consider on forehand what facilities must be present at the hotel, where you are going to stay
Prioritizing hotels with children's pool could be a really good idea, especially if the children are not so old yet. Both large and small children love to frolic on the beach and swimming in the sea or perhaps even at a lake.

For the adults there is also plenty to enjoy and all resorts have a cozy center with lots of restaurants, bars, cafes, spa and wellness facilities, golf courses. And when you are not one of them that like to hang around in one of the above, we are sure there are other activities to find which please you, perhaps one of the outdoor activities cycling, hiking or windsurfing?
For families with small children it is convenient to stay in a place with some facilities. Though, there are child-friendly restaurants within short walking distance from the hotels, or even on site. Some evenings you probably prefer to cook yourself, and therefore you could consider staying in an apartment rather than a hotel room?
Many of the hotels in Italy offer a mix of the two accommodation facilities. (often named aparthotel) The advantage of an apartment is generally that you have more space, and that one feels more at home, as apartments often have a living room and kitchenette. More facilities that make people choose to stay in apartments are for example, washing machine, cooking stove and dishwasher etc., Note that these are examples of what you can find in some apartments. When traveling with children, it is practical to have facilities that resemble what you have at home. To be able to prepare a meal for the children when their stumachs needs to be filled, is often a basic need.
Celebrating your holiday in a villa is yet another great option when you have decided that the whole family travels together. There are villas all around the beautiful boot shaped country and it is up to you what you prefer. Wouls you like the experience of rural, authentic Italy with an easy, spacious and comfortable living or do you prefer one closer to towns or cities.
The major advantage of renting a villa is to have your private space available just for you, your family or friends. Often the villas offer plenty of space, what allows everybody to do their own thing withouth disturbing each other. There is no complaining about the kids are making noise when they are playing in the garden. And moreover there is no need to get up early to put your towel at the sun beds next to the pool. You have your sunbed for the whole period during your stay. Many villas are located in very beautiful surroundings, where you will have ample opportunity to go for walks and take the beautiful Italian countryside to you.
Some villas in Italy are quite large, and you have to be with many people, in order to be able to rent the whole villa itself. In some cases it is possible to book an apartment within the villa itself. When booking an apartment you often need to share common areas with other travelers. However, in most cases, the other travelers often share the same interests as you. This means that when the villa is suitable for families with children, the others also might have brought their children, where your children find playmates during the holiday.

A family holiday at an agriturismo is often a lot of fun. Of course the children can play in the pool and at the same time they can get closer to nature. Feeding the goats, looking for eggs from chickens in the morning are just two among many other animal and natural experiences.
A place is named an agriturismo when a certain level of food production is done on the spot. It can often be food such as fruit, nuts or jam. Or olive oil and wine are also a reason to use the name agriturismo. The home made products are often a delight to the guests. The fresh taste of the farm"s homemade jam at breakfast often brings a smile in the morning.
Generally on an agriturismo there is plenty of space, fresh air and lots of opportunities for trips in the surroundings, on foot or by car.
