The town is surrounded by a lush deciduous forest that leads you out from the town into an enchanting, green adventure. In the town you'll find a nice little harbour and shops, restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops along the small beach promenade. From the promenade you will find a small park aligning the waters edge, containing statues and a fountain which divides the town from the beach.
The beach consists of a strip of sandy beach that turns into a slightly coarser shingle beach. This beach is free to use and the water is really clear and inviting. There is also a small marina alongside the beach. Generally the town gives the impression of being inviting and well maintained.
