The divine setting is so beautiful it is almost surreal, you have to pinch yourself! Here you have the perfect combination of comfort and nature in a peaceful countryside location. The in-house restaurant, the large pool and the impressive views are just some of great reasons to take a break at Relais Villa d'Assio. You can reach the nearest town of Colli sul Vellino in just 3 km, and then it's about half an hour drive to the bigger cities of Rieti and Terni which are part of the Umbria region.
Relais Villa d'Assio is the result of the an interesting restoration project of a small 18th Century country village with green covered mountains, the canal Santa Susanna with fish farming and the nature Riserva dei Laghi Lungo e Ripasottile with its two lakes as neighbours. You are surrounded by nature and spoilt with the wonderful views here. It is only approx. 100 km from Rome's vibrant cultural centre. The Relais takes the shape of a small village and the accommodation is scattered around this area. Wireless internet is available over the entire site.

It's impossible to resist a swim in the huge swimming pool at Relais and there is also a children's pool and a Jacuzzi. (for an additional payment, you can rent mandatory bathing caps and large bath towels for the pool).
If you have plenty of energy to burn, you can play tennis, basketball and football, and there is a wonderful landscaped nature trail that leads past the Santa Susanna River that is lit during the evening. If your muscles are sore after this, then you can enjoy a massage on site for a surcharge. The hotel has created a barbeque area where themed evenings are sometimes arranged.
In the restaurant Ristorante Tempe on-site you can enjoy local and regional cuisine which is based largely on local produce and a menu according the season's offerings. You dine in an intimate and cosy setting and can gaze out of the large glass windows overlooking the pool. During the warmer months, you can dine outside on the scenic poolside terrace and enjoy the fresh air and views whilst you eat.
If you would like more space, creativity and life-enriching surroundings, choose one of the hotel's two suites located approx. 300 m away in a quiet corner of the grounds, far from everything else and closer to the flora and fauna. The suites, which are decorated with elements from Italian design icons Kartell and Guzzini, certainly offer some unique and distinctive living spaces. The villa is a reconstructed ancient Roman villa and the suites are located behind the expressive remnants of the Roman Villa Villa del Senatore Romano Quinto Assio dating back to the year 100 AD. There is no air conditioning.
