H3> beach, restaurants, bars Fregene offers a wide sandy beach with dark sand and beach promenade with restaurants, bars and cafes. At the bottom of the beach, behind the seafront there is an old pine forest, built by Pope Clement IX. During the season, many people from Rome come over to the beach, especially in the weekends. If you like windsurfing or kitesurfing, there are many schools present around Fregene.
It is easy to get to Fregene with both public transport and private car. From Rome city depart daily buses to Fregenes main square, and get on the A1 motorway, turn off at exit Maccarese-Fregene.
