Stay in tranquil surroundings in the countryside and and be welcomed by the hosts Valentina and David. Agriturismo Il Bagolaro has a pool, a restaurant and large, beautiful rooms on the ground floor with air conditioning and a terrace.

Sloping, big skies and yet close to Rome

Despite its rural location at the end of (uneven) gravel track in a peaceful environment, it is just about 2 km to the medieval village of Nerola with its imposing fortress Castello Orsini. You will find the nearest supermarket approx. 2 km away. If you are looking for a day in the city, you can always drive to the train station at Fara Sabina (10 km away), park for free and then take the train to Rome Tiburtina (about 40 min.). The latest return is approximately pm. 22:00.

Good dining

It's great to know that you can enjoy both lunch and dinner on site if you don't wish to venture further afield. You have the option of half-board here if you wish and you don't need to book this in advance, just let the owners know on the day. It includes three courses for a very reasonable price. You can enjoy dining outdoors on the terrace when the weather is good. Between Thursday to Sunday, the restaurant is open to the general public, so will be a bit busier. If you want to dine elsewhere, you will need the car. Within 2 km, you will find several choices. Breakfast is served either inside or out (on request). They produce a variety of jams, olive oil, spreadable chocolate and beauty products on site, all of which are available for purchase.

Enjoy the outdoors

You can make the most of the pool in the large green garden, and relax knowing that the children can play safely outside, a long way from roads and traffic. The pool is exclusively used by overnight guests, and visitors to the restaurant. There is also a football field and a children's playground where the little ones can run off steam, and you can also borrow mountain bikes for free and explore the surroundings

Peace, quiet and good food

We had a wonderful week at Il Bagolaro. The rooms were cleaned every day. The pool was cleaned every day Monday through Friday.

Our kids loved the pool, and there were several days when we had it almost all to ourselves. The restaurant at the place was really amazing. Good, classic Italian dishes made with great ingredients and well prepared. However, we never got around to the dessert, as we simply could not eat so much food. :-)

There are four little dogs living at the farm. Even though these dogs are sweet and calm, they were a challenge for our youngest child who is afraid of dogs. The surrondings just near the rooms - the olive plantation - were a bit boring. But the kind and welcoming personnel weighed up for that.

Relaxing stay, lovely nature and authentic food - close to Rome

We had a lovely stay at the place in July 2016 - 2 adults and 2 children. Lovely relaxing, and at times we had the pool to ourselves. Mostly other Danes at the place, but several Italians came and enjoyed the food on Fri-Sundays. The rooms were completely plain, but worked fine. The bathroom was completely newly renovated/ nice. Could with advantage have been installed a small kitchenette and fridge. We asked for a fridge, and within 1 hour we had a small minibar/fridge, so that was nice. Lovely pool, and well-maintained. A bit solitary, so the place requires a car, but you are in complete peace, and free for lots of tourists. Breakfast is typically Italian (mostly pastries!), but in return, lunch and dinner are fantastic. 20 euro for 3- courses of delicious Italian food - also for children. Only downside was wifi, which was very bad, and only worked sometimes by the pool and restaurant. Lots of places to go; Rome, Tivoli and Morricone. Nearest town Nerola is also worth a visit.
