Staying at Hotel Residenza Farnese, is like being a private guest of a noble family. The hotel is housed in a former monastery and is located in Rome's historic centre, just behind Palazzo Farnese (known for the opera Tosca), and just 2 min's walk from the city's flower square of Campo de 'Fiori.
The hotel is located in Via del Mascherone, which is named after the famous fountain "Fontana del Mascherone" from 1626, which stands at the end of the street in Via Giulia. A part of the building is still occupied as a monastery, so do not be surprised if you hear chanting.

The hotel is owned by two friends Marisella and Carla who put their personal mark on the place. They are responsible for the very tasteful decor with an emphasis on antique furniture, and their large art collection adorns the walls.
There is an entrance directly from the quiet street where you will find the reception, an elevator, a lounge, a bar, a billiard room, TV lounge and the very cosy breakfast room. Breakfast includes homemade bread and marmalade, and can be enjoyed to the sound of a babbling fountain in the shape of a fish. The hotel also has a large conference room for approx. 150 guests and a lovely roof terrace where you can sit and relax whilst looking over the roofs of Rome.
The rooms are all located on the top two floors and there are 30 in total. They are all decorated in classic Italian style in a variety of pleasant shades. The rooms have a telephone, radio, air conditioning, a mini-bar, safety deposit box, satellite TV with a flat screen and a bath with shower or bath, hairdryer and toiletries. On request you can book a spacious family room / suite, with space to sleep 4 people, where two children can sleep on a double sofa bed.
