Here you stay in the charming neighbourhood of the Piazza Navona which is not as overrun by tourists as other areas are, or as noisy as perhaps the vibrant party zone of Campo de 'Fiori. In Vicolo Monte Vecchio and its surroundings, the atmosphere is more laid-back in general.

In a class of its own

It is very rare that we assign the highest grade to a holiday apartment, but in this case we feel confident in doing so. We really can't find any fault, it just has so much to offer. It is an extremely comfortable base for a family who wish to stay in style in a good location to see the beautiful city.

Discreet charm

The apartment Terrazza Montevecchio is on two floors with an entrance on the second floor. The pictures speak volumes about the high quality of this apartment and about how the owner has scrimped on nothing. They have put a large Bang & Olufsen flat-screen TV in the lounge, the most stylish designer furniture and the like into this apartment. There are thousands of books everywhere, and like everything else in the apartment they testify to the good taste of the owner. There is of course air conditioning, wireless internet, a dishwasher, a washing machine and satellite television.

3 bedroom apartment - sleeps 4/6
From the grand entrance you enter into the spacious kitchen /dining area where there is a large dining table with ample space for eight people and an open kitchen with a 5-burner stove, an oven, a dishwasher, fridge and freezer. There are two bedrooms leading from this area which can be connected (or separated) with a sliding door. One of these bedrooms has a double bed with an en suite bathroom with a large bath and toilet, while the bedroom with two single beds has a bathroom with a large shower and a toilet. From the hall you can also go up to the upper floor where you will find a very large living room with a high ceiling. The living room has a large sofa among other things and a sofa bed of the best quality for two people. There is a large television and a piano. Six steps up from the living room you have the apartment's terrace with a large canopy and lounge chairs.

Apartment and location can definetely be recommended.

We have enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment. Time and time again we were told that, the placement couldn't have been better in Rome - and we believe that, there isn't a much better rental apartment. There is a sea of places to eat, ice cream bars, cafes and more all close to the apartment, which is secluded according to all the street noise. The apartment itself is personal and tastefully decorated with a touch of luxury in all rooms. High up to the ceiling and lovely materials everywhere.

On the roof terrace we definitely missed some better furniture - and a table with 6 chairs. When the apartment is furnished for 6 people, it is not enough with 2 loungers and a very low (sofa) table. Likewise, we couldn't use the bath in the big bathroom (bathtub/shower), since there wasn't any pressure on the hot water. We contacted our contact person in Rome, and there might have been someone by to look at it, without us being home, but it didn't change during our stay. So we really only had one bath, but the toilet and sink could be used.

(A former guest said, that there was cutlery missing: That is not true. There is a hidden, big cutlery drawer, with all equipment, between the two big steel drawers to the right in the kitchen. You have to pull them both out, before you can get the cutlery out).

All in all an apartment and location we absolutely can recommend.

(We were 5 adults around 40 years of age).
