Here you can let the long paths lead you through the gardens past the beautiful panoramic view points and hundreds of fountains. In the garden area you can also admire a water sculpture, built as a tribute to Rome, which reproduces Rome's many monuments precisely. Many of garden fountains and waterfalls are activated at different times of the day (times this is found at the entrance to the garden).
The garden is open for visits from 08:30 am until one hour before sunset and tickets cost € 6,50 per person. You can even have lunch here at the café with views of the garden or in the restaurant at the entrance. Besides being an excellent example of the Renaissance style, Villa D'Este is one of the first of its kind and has since served as a template for European garden art.
