Agriturismo I Casali della Parata is located in a peaceful setting at the end of a cul de sac and lures its guests with a beautiful swimming pool, apartments that can be rented on a daily basis, a restaurant that serves good food based on local produce and a landscape dictated by vineyards.
Rome is only approximately 40 km away if you feel like a trip to the big city, but at the same time you can feel safe in the knowledge that you are returning to a peaceful oasis at the end of the day. The easiest way is to go from the train station in San Gennaro, which is short 4 km away. There is a direct train to Roma Termini and the trip takes an hour. The last return from Termini is about 22:00 hours.

You can eat very well here indeed and the restaurant is open for dinner from Thursday to Sunday, and also for lunch on Sundays. You can even opt for breakfast. The cuisine is local and Italian - and they also make pizzas. They produce both oil, fruit and wine on-site and there is ample opportunity to taste these products in their kitchen. The restaurant environment spreads over two historic rooms with an outdoor terrace for when the weather permits. The restaurant is open for both guests and the general public. You can opt for either half-board or eat a la carte. Note: Sometimes weddings are held in the restaurant which therefore limits access to the restaurant and the pool by guests. However there are other local eateries, the nearest of which is approx. 1 ½ miles away. There is free wi-fi in public areas however coverage is unstable. Due to events being held at the restaurant, it can often be busy from Thursday to Sunday whereas the beginning of the week is quieter. Finally, the staff are friendly, although English is not spoken here.
In the beautiful and rustic Agriturismo I Casali della Parata there is plenty to do for the whole family. First of all there is the inviting swimming pool, which offers a fine landscape view. In addition, there is the possibility for beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis and playing on the swings in the playground. You can also use the communal BBQ / picnic area or attend a wine tasting event (surcharges).
These 7 apartments are on the ground or 1st floor and are all uniquely decorated. They consist of a living room with a kitchenette (including a 2-burner stove and fridge), a TV and a double bed, a bathroom with a toilet and shower. There is the possibility of two extra beds as a double sofa bed or bunk beds in several of them. These apartments are all air conditioned. Kitchen corners are a bit spartan. Some of the apartments can be rented together by a larger group as they have a connecting door. There are no private outdoor areas for these apartments, but those on the ground floor have furniture at the entrance.
These 7 apartments are one bedroom and on the ground or 1st floor and are all differently decorated. There are also two extra beds as a double sofa bed or bunk bed in the living room. These apartments are all air conditioned. Kitchen corners are a little spartan and the apartments are really best suited for four people, but there is also just enough space for six people to sit and eat. Some of the apartments are located on two floors with the master bedroom on the top level (not separated by a door). There are no private outdoor areas for the apartments, but those on the ground floor have furniture at the entrance.
Agriturismo in Casali della Parata is a true paradise. The surroundings, facilities and staff all contribute a big part to an amazing holiday - it is a pleasure to hear ones kids play in the recreational places or see them bathe in the big pool. The restaurant is a true pleasure, and we felt especially privileged, when the head chef was brought to our table to translate the menu, since he was the only member of staff who could talk English at the time. There was a few things that could be improved on, which makes it so that price and quality don't quite add up, since the place is at the high end of the price scale. For an example, there is missing lights over the dining table in the apartment, and the radiators didn't work, and the big outdoor lighting was only on when the restaurant was open, and that means from Thursday to Sunday. There was missing access to the staff/owners from Monday to Wednesday, and other small things, which is maybe just a normal Italian thing. A bit of a bummer, since a little care and attention on a few details, does that this place doesn't get 5 stars.
We enjoyed ourselves a lot at Casali della Parata. It was easy to come to Rome (5 min walk with a car down to the trainstation, which had a big, free parking and the train took 55 mins to get to Termini) and get back out of Rome's fantastic pulsating life, to a quiet life by the pool out in the country. We were there 2 weeks and spend it as a base for several day trips to Rome and for lazy days by the pool. It is an excellent mix of bathing, relaxing and big-city holiday.
Did need some information from the hosts about how to find the local supermarket, recommendations for where to eat nearby, especially since they closed their own restaurant from lunch time Sunday to Thursday afternoon. It would've been nice if they had a "self-service" bar at the pool with something cold to drink along with some ice cream, etc. But all in all a good holiday.
Magnificently placed and very authentic. Good mood in the weekend, where we both experienced wedding parties and 18th birthdays. Don't expect there to be other kids, but is warmly recommended, if you want a calm holiday while you experience true festive, Italian atmosphere and hospitality. Good trip options.
