The view to the marina, the river Magra and the Marble Mountains in the background creates a picture perfect setting that you will not want to leave! To add to that, there is a sandy beach with a promenade, and a car-free town with shops and restaurants on the doorstep, so it can easily be described as a little paradise. The icing on the cake is that the hotel has a lovely swimming pool in the back garden!
You'll find a good restaurant here at the hotel, and they offer a 10% discount for hotel guests! What a good start to your holiday! Then you will also find a nice gift shop inside, a lobby with a lounge area and an outside terrace from where you can really appreciate the views. The icing on the cake - the swimming pool is to the rear of the hotel where you will also find outdoor lounge furniture by the pool. Children are welcome at the hotel, but generally it tends to be popular with couples and boaters who dock at the marina next door. Pets are also welcome.

The hotel hires bikes if you wish to explore a bit further on two wheels. Alternatively if that sounds far too energetic, the beach is just stone's throw away (about 200 m from the hotel) with both a private and a public part. Another option is to take one of the tourist boat trips to the neighbouring towns and one can for example visit the small lagoon Porto Corvo which is listed as one of Italy's top 20 most beautiful beaches (it can only be reached on foot in approx. 45 minutes, or by boat). The hotel has no private parking, but approx. 150 metres away there is a large municipal car park which is free all year round except for during the summer months.

Hotel Archi is a very autentic hotel just in the city centre. We had a great room, which we had upgraded with a big balcony and a beautiful view, where we could see the yacht harbor and the small city centre, from where there is not really any noise. The hotel had a very cosy out-door restaurant. The breakfast was simple - fine but not like wow. There was a really small cozy garden with a lovely pool and close to free beach and sun-chairs. Close to Cinque Terre, where we visited a couple of times, when we we where not busy laying at the beach.
A really charming hotel, where you can feel the genuine Italian atmosphere.
We were very positively surprised by the hotel itself, but also by the hotel's placement. Several of the guests at the hotel were Italian and the area was generally populated by visiting Italians. It also does so most menu cards are in Italian (a few places has them in English).
The room was fine with a good, big bed and fine bathroom.
Breakfast was fine (simple Italian)
Do note: there is no elevator and the rooms are placed on the 1st and 2nd floor.
Only minus was the parking, no parking by the hotel, so it is done at a public parking space behind the hotel, which in itself wasn't a problem, but paying for parking worked very poorly. (will apparently be better from 2016 and on):
Wonderful place with sweet and helpful staff. We chose a room with a balcony - wauv, you definitely shouldn't cheat yourself of this! The most wonderful view over the docs/river/ocean, and with good space, along with a table and sunbeds. The accompanying restaurant made fantastic food and served lovely wine. Fine beach close by and a small pool in the backyard with space for shade and relaxing.
Wonderful room with a view, fantastic location close to everything, friendly staff, good food, but it was a bit hard to find and I didn't get any driving instructions. We are deeply satisfied.
