From the moment she instantly answered our emailed questions before our stay, we knew Rosella would be an excellent host. She communicated with us a few days before our reservation started, greeted us on arrival with brochures on the region and unobtrusively periodically during the week asked if we needed any help or more information. Checking out was simple and Rossella gave us a warm goodbye.
Our apartment was exactly as described on the website. It was sparkling clean and fully equipped. The large terrace at the rear of the house was a Garden of Eden, with our own private spot just outside our door.
Villa I Poggioli is in our experience the perfect location to explore Bocca di Magra on foot and further away by car. The villa is a short walk to the harbor and beach but on a quiet residential street. Carrara is a short drive into Tuscany and La Spezia's main train station is also an easy drive for a visit to Cinque Terre.
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at I Poggioli, and highly recommend that anyone considering a holiday in the region take advantage of Rossella's hospitality.
