The towns of Le Cinque Terre can be reached by train in around 10 minutes or less from here. Bolano is located in the hills but can be accessed directly from the highway which leads to Parma, Bologna, Genoa, Florence and Milan. The village of Bolano itself is quite cosy with a small historic centre and a grocery store, but the area's most interesting areas is certainly the coastal part.
