The newly built La Rossola Resort is said to be a pleasing spot for those seeking peace & quiet in green surroundings. La Rossola Resort is also one of the few places in the region of the Cinque Terre National Park where there is a swimming pool.
The place is at the end of a cul de sac (the last 1 ½ miles is a steep and winding gravel road) completely undisturbed and secluded, but you can easily get down to the coastal towns of Bonassola and Levanto, which are approx. 7 km away (for both). You can also easily reach the five towns of the Cinque Terre, for example, by driving down to the station in Levanto and from there take the train one stop to Monterosso (takes approx. 4 minutes). Alternatively you can walk between them. There is a hiking trail from La Rossola Resort, which leads down to the well-known hiking trail in Cinque Terre between Levanto and Riomaggiore. Of course there is free parking on site.

There is both a bar and a restaurant on site, which means that you do not have to drive down to Levanto/Bonassola in the evening. Since the restaurant is not located right on the water, the menu isn't just fish / seafood but also contains meat / veg. The restaurant also serves breakfast (a buffet) - and when the weather permits you can enjoy breakfast outside on the porch under the archways.
Outside, the large swimming pool with sun loungers has a fine view over the surrounding forests with the Mediterranean sea in the background. Additionally, there is a small outdoor gym.
- The 11 double rooms, 5 triple rooms and one four bed room are located on either the ground or first floor distributed in different buildings and are nicely decorated with tiled floors. Each has a fridge, a safety deposit box, Wi-Fi, LCD satellite TV, a telephone and a bathroom with a toilet, hair dryer and shower. The rooms on the ground floor have their own entrance from the outside. Some rooms have a view of the sea in the distance. There is no air conditioning because the site is located high above the sea level. Triple rooms are slightly larger than double rooms and have three fixed beds, and one four person room on the ground floor with two bedroom units.
A very quite place in the middel of different hiking trails in the Northern part of Cinque Terre. Work great as a base if you want to hike and explore the area. Beautiful view overlooking the sea.
The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is nice, but its more like a cafeteria than a restaurant.
The hotel is located in the end of a long, steep and winding gravel path. There is around 6-8 km to the nearest town, where you find a great selection of restaurants and a wonderful beach.
We were very surprised to see so many surfers in the water, but it was because of windy season.
