The tiny town of Chiesanuova, which consists of a few houses and a lovely little church, is situated in the mountains above Levanto and about 5 km from the coast. There is a fantastic view over the surrounding mountains from the town.
The village, which dates back to the 11th Century, has a collection of charming houses and a dominant Ligurian church. The city is located more precisely between the seaside resort of Levanto and the first of the five Le Cinque Terre cities Monterosso al Mare with approx. 5 km to both of them. From Chiesanuova there is a fabulous view of Levanto, the mountains and the sea. Chiesanuovas greatest strength is the quiet and picturesque location here 200 meters above sea level, and it boasts to have no commercial or cultural life: the charm is just that are no shops, restaurants, traffic or coffee shops - just pure , original village idyll.
