Diano Marina is a quaint little seaside town, best known for its beautiful beaches, lush surroundings and pleasant climate.
The town has a wide selection of restaurants, shops, cafés and nightclubs, and there is plenty of scope for excursions into the local countryside to admire the scenery.
The whole city was destroyed in 1887 by a huge landslide and after the reconstruction of the town, tourism began to increase. Previously it was only a small fishing village and they hadn't experienced much tourism, but the reconstruction of the town seemed to attract an interest. The long promenade overlooking the sea, the marina and beaches combined with the city's green avenues and cosy seats form an inviting setting for a successful holiday.
During early June, there is a big flower festival in the town where the street's are filled with flower parades and the pavements covered in multi-coloured petals. There is a street market in the town every Tuesday morning.
