Lerici has an important strategic function in this part of the Mediterranean region during the middle ages, with its castle that sits in a panoramic position on the road leading to the small town of Fiascherino. This small community is situated on the stretch between Lerici and Tellaro di Lerici.
Fiascherino has also hosted historic figures in the past such as the English writer David Herbert Lawrence, who came here with his wife Frida between 1913-1914. Today, other celebrities come to enjoy the beautiful beaches. It is also near to Portofino which is popular with the famous, however, Fiascherino remains much cheaper than its neighbour.

Transport
Fiascherino lies on the border between Liguria and Tuscany. You can get there on the A12 that connects Genoa Rosignano and exit Sarzana. From there, you can simply follow in the direction of Lerici and Tellaro, and Fiascherino is on the way.
From here you can easily reach the town of Tellaro which is included in the prestigious list - I Borghi più belli d'Italia, the National Park " Cinque Terre " and La Spezia. The nearest stations are Sarzana, S. Stefano Magra, and La Spezia. The nearest airports are Genoa (Cristoforo Colombo) and Pisa (Galileo Galilei) .
