Residence Giuele has a wealth of facilities to make your holiday a true dream for both the adults and the children. While the children play, you can enjoy your very private patio or relax by the large pool. There is also a free shuttle to the beach and the centre of Finale Ligure, which are situated just 1 ½ km away - it is all too easy to enjoy yourselves here.
Residence Giuele is definitely family friendly. It is set back from the road, so there is no traffic nuisance or dangerous roads to worry you. besides the residence, on the same grounds is a campsite Eurocamping Calvisio.and you have access to the facilities there including a pool, children's pool and jacuzzi. Up behind the pool there is a large communal terrace with parasols and sun loungers reserved for guests of the Residence Giuele, while the poolside loungers are for everyone. Your children will also love the playground, the football pitch and the entertainment that is arranged for children, either inside or out (until midnight). There is also a riding school nearby, a small supermarket, a laundry and bike hire (both have surcharges).

The surroundings are beautiful and hilly and you can see pine tree and olive groves all around. When you want to visit the beach, you can take the Residences free shuttle bus which runs at fixed times during the high season. Alternatively you can take a stroll on the pavement that goes all the way to the sandy beaches at Finale, approx 1.5 km away. When you reach the beach, you can walk a further 500 metres to the old town, then 2km to the medieval Finalborgo.
You can dine either inside or out at the restaurant. The kitchen caters to wide tastes and makes especially good pizzas and they also have special children's menus. If you want, upon arrival you can fix a weekly price for dinner or just order a la carte when you wish. It is also possible to eat lunch in the restaurant in the bar area with a choice of lighter dishes.
Basically, the difference between apartments is their location, views, space and terrace's size. The apartments are for families with children - not adult couples travelling together as there are bunk beds and sofa beds that are not suitable for that purpose. The apartments are quite neat and tidy, but Residence Giueles primary advantages are its outdoor area: terraces, pool area and the scenic surroundings.
The place is part campsite, part holiday apartments with a lovely swimming pool and kid pool. The kid pool was fine the first couple of days, but then it was filled with rocks and sand all of a sudden, which made us wonder why it wasn't cleaned.
The apartment was fine, with what you needed - and a lot of towels. I do miss cleaning in the middle of the week, when especially the terrace gets dirty, and you drag it into the apartment.
It was easy to bring kids and they could run around and do what they want to, without having to worry. Especially the turtles were a big hit.
The restaurant was fine and lovely, that you could take the food as take away. Every day there is entertainment by a young team at 21:00 every night for the kids. All in all a great place with a few "needs".
First: Upon arrival we could conclude, that the terrace is about half the size of the one on the floor plan at in-italia. That was very disappointing!
With mixed experience we mean, that there were things, which were absolutely perfect: Location, view, pool, the bar at the place and entertainment for the kids. Some things were okay, but not flashy: The restaurant, the size of the apartment and characteristic. And then there were the service... it was mostly indifferent. Several among the staff seemed annoyed with our presence, and their language/English skills were poor. The restaurant is okay-ish, the seafood courses and pizzas were good, but you quickly get tired of it. For the same price we had dinner at the best (on tripadvisor) restaurant in the area, which was a fantastic experience.
There were (very noisy) entertainment every evening, so forget sitting and enjoying a glass of wine in peace on the terrace. The kids loved it - but it was on Italian time, so it was a bit difficult to get to fit with a Danish cycle. But it is probably directed more towards the Italian tourists (who seemed to enjoy it to the full).
We don't know if we would go there again... the kids loved it, but it was probably too much of a clown's act and had too bad service, for us adults to want to come back.
