Framura is more a collection of five communities , than an actual village or town. Here is no commercial activity nor restaurant scene, though many scenic scenarios with mountain slopes and Mediterranean vegetation. In the absence of an actual center, there is the beautiful and rocky harbor, a sort of natural center. Framura is close to the train station.
Around the year 2010, Framura and neighboring villages Bonassola and Levanto agreed to open a disused tunnel that connects the three cities. This means that today you can hike or bike between the two cities without having to get up and down the mountain. The tunnel is a hit with locals and tourists.
