Residence Mira Mare offers an elegant and intimate atmosphere on the sought after Italian Riviera. It is well located to visit the exciting area of the Cinque Terre with its enchanting towns and beaches.
The residence is set in the small community of Lizza where there is no commercial life as such but there is a small kiosk which is opening during the morning (8.30am to 12:30), and there are around 40 parking spaces. The nearest shopping centre is Il Faro in La Spezia approx. 4 km away where you will find all sorts of shops and restaurants. The nearest sandy beach is on the other side of the bay of Lerici (approx. 12 km away. From La Spezia you can take a tourist boat trip to visit the towns of the the Cinque Terre that leave from the palm tree line promenade. Alternatively you can park at the station at La Spezia and take the train to the Cinque Terre. It takes for example only 8 minutes to arrive at the first of the five towns by train which is Riomaggiore. The tourist boat is more expensive but the view of the coast from the sea is worth it.

Mira Mare has a panoramic view over the bay, with the naval base of La Spezia in the foreground and the Marble Mountains in Tuscany in the background, with the beautiful La Spezia bay that leads out to the ocean in the middle. The property sits on a slope approx. 250 m.a.s.l. which is why the place is not particularly child-friendly. Children of all ages are welcome at the site, but it should be noted that there is a certain calm about the place, especially in the pool area, and it is not possible to order a cot (but you may bring your own). The pool area is surrounded by a well-maintained wooden deck and tasteful sun loungers and parasols. One level down is a luscious green lawn and a further sun terrace with sun loungers, tables and chairs in the middle of a olive grove.
The charming trattoria is next door to Mira Mare and very convenient if you do not wish to cook or drive to town. Here you can enjoy a fixed menu with changes regularly at a very reasonable cost, or dine a la carte or choose from the pizza menu. As a guest at Mira Mare you will receive a 10% discount off the a la carte menu but not on pizzas. There is an outdoor patio where you can dine, weather permitting. If you choose to have breakfast, then it is also served here and should be ordered a day in advance. The restaurant is not open for lunch.
The apartments are spread over 4 floors (ground, 1st floor, one floor above and two floors below), including both street level and the lower floors which feel like the ground level as the terrain slopes. The apartments have all been named after the Italian school system, which goes from 1st to 5th grade (elementary), followed by the intermediate (le media) and finally liceo corresponding to upper / secondary education. If we start from the top, you will find the apartments Terza, Quarta and Quinta Elementare and then Prima and Seconda Elementare at street level. Below are the 4 apartments Media A + B + C + D and below closest to the pool is the suite apartment Liceo. There is no elevator between floors. Note that there is no possibility to add extra beds in these rooms. In addition to the wonderful outdoor areas and the apartments themselves, there are no indoor public areas, however, there is an internet point at the entrance on the 1st floor and Wi-Fi is available in the apartments. There are no washing machines in the apartment or laundry on site, but should the need arise, there is a laundry in the mall in La Spezia.
