Fantastic towns and area. The pressure of tourists is soaring in the towns, but in the mountain you can get some air, and the most spectacular views/overviews of the areas/towns.

Fantastic hiking area - the paths are well labelled and the indication of time on the routes suits. Pack a backpack, because quickly you'll be gone for hours (and remember proper hiking shoes or hiking boots).
No proper supermarkets, but the city La Spezia isn't far away.

There are a lot of impressions that need to settle in after 8 days in "Cinque Terre", where we hiked up and down mountains along the coast, and met one gorgeous view after another.
The area is definitely worth a visit, but if you're going hiking, it might be best to come late in the season, when it isn't as warm. It was wonderful to sit on the balcony in the warm nights.
The apartment totally fulfilled our expectations, especially the balcony with the magnificent view over the town and ocean.
Do be aware that, there is a lot of stairs leading up to the apartment.
It could've been nice, if there was a bit more info about practical stuff in the apartment.
For example: How do I get around on food, with bus, and train? Prices?
Which paths are closed?
Where can I shop groceries?

Only remark I have to the apartment is that, the balcony is pretty narrow, and it would be better with a small table and a couple of loungers.

Recommendations for future guests

The 2 nearest paths along the water are unfortunately closed, so we bought a train map for 10 euros, so we could move about freely for about a week. If you walk from Riomaggiore by path number 3 towards Colle Del Telegrafo, you come past a "camp" for back-packers, where there is a small cafe with a view over the ocean and opportunity for staying overnight under the open sky.
