In-italias instructions from the train to the hotel were fine and we found it quickly, even though a steep hill with steps and stone was somewhat exhausting with luggage. The hotel was built in and lied extremely well, and had a magnificent view. The rooms were nice and clean, but they were small - hard to make room for the luggage without it being in the way, and the toilet and shower was tightly squeezed together in very limited space. The ocean view was nice, but there was some noise at night. Breakfast was good, but not impressive. Two things drew the place down: 1) The hotel was family driven and without extra staff, and that meant that the reception often was unoccupied. 2) The hotel had a beautiful terrace, pool and outside area, but there was rarely any other people to see, and no service at the bar, so that you could have a glass of wine or something on the terrace at night.
I'm happy to hear that you've had a nice trip - but I am sorry to hear, that you haven't been fully satisfied with your stay. It is true, that the reception isn't manned all day long, which is very normal in 3-star hotels, unlike 4.star hotels. I actually visited the hotel during the same period as you, and got a fine impression by the pool and common terrace, myself - but if the weather is bad, the outdoor areas aren't usually used. Thanks for your feedback, which we of course take into consideration. Kind regard Allan, In-Italia.
