On our second day we had hundreds of ants marching through our room and even in our suitcases! We notified the owner of this problem and all she said was: yes I know, we can't do anything about it because we are in the nature and this happens all the time.
After I threatened to go to another hotel because I didn't want to sleep in between the insects, she finally asked someone to clean our room and spray some anti-insect stuff. This only partly solved the problem, since the ants were coming from the electricity openings in the wall.
We decided to stay the remaining nights because it was too much of a hazzle to find another hotel in August that was close to the ocean.
There were some pluses: the view, pool and the fact that it is close by the cinque terre cities.
However, I wouldn't go there with kids. They are very strict when it comes to showering before you enter the pool, do not move the beds etc.
So when you're considering booking this hotel, I would definitely take this into account.
