The view from the villa really is amazing and encompasses the mountains and the sea along this spectacular coastline. Within five minutes by car you can be in the popular town of Moneglia and in fifteen minutes you can reach Sestri Levante, one of Liguria's friendly cities. From the train station in Moneglia, you can reach all the famous towns of the Cinque Terre in 15 - 30 minutes.

Shop in Moneglia

The road from Moneglia is about two kilometres long and it is steep and winding, but it is well paved and a smooth run. You need to buy your groceries in Moneglia because there are no shops in Lemeglio, and the nearest restaurant is on the way to town. It's really good if you are fond of fish, and otherwise there are many restaurants in Moneglia, as well as in the small mountain villages.

Helpful hosts

Villa Belvedere is owned by the very likeable Signore Franco who also has apartments in the neighbouring property - Cielo e Mare. He is responsible for the daily operations along with his assistant Signora Rita who is very patient and incredibly helpful. Both Franco and Rita know pretty much everything about the area and are more than happy to point you in the right direction of a good restaurant.

Clean, neat and great views

Everything in the villa is neat and well maintained but it is Italian deco, so don't expect anything too cosy. There are however, the most breathtaking views of the sea and Moneglia town from the furnished terraces at the villa. There is also a private garden. Everything is clean and there are plenty of facilities. There is a parking space with the villa, but we should tell you that parking spaces in the town are very limited. sSall cars are recommended to get around the town.

Good facilities

The villa is on two floors and you enter from the living room which has a table and chairs, two sofa beds, a cabinet and a wardrobe. There is a bathroom in the hallway (with a shower) which will take you in to another living room which also serves as a dining room, where there is another double sofa bed, satellite TV with a decoder for CD and DVD. There is a new kitchen with a four burner stove, an oven, a refrigerator, a washing machine and a dishwasher. There is direct access to the garden where there is also an old pizza oven, a barbeque and toilet with a shower.

Terrace with panoramic views

From the living room there's a large marble staircase leading to the 1st floor where there is a lounge with a TV, armchairs and a sofa that can be used as a sofa bed. From here there is access to a large terrace with panoramic views. There are two large bedrooms with double beds and a small room with two single beds. There is another bathroom with a shower and toilet on the 1st floor, and there are sea views from all three bedrooms.
