Pietra Ligure is located on the west side of the Italian Riviera, between Savona and Imperia. Pietra Ligure is ideal for the perfect family holiday as there is a wonderful beach and a fantastic atmosphere, particularly in the evening after a day full of sun, sand and relaxation.

Sandy beaches and sports

It is a holiday destination with attractions for everyone as there are plenty of options for sports on the beach including surfing and diving etc, and sport centres for activities such as football and tennis. There are also plenty of opportunities to explore shops and/or nature, whatever your tastes. There are a variety of beaches to choose from, some sandy and some rocky. The most popular is the Bagni Pucci which is located in front of the old town, and for which you have to pay to use. It is said to be the most spacious beach but a little more expensive than the other beaches.

Market Days and infrastructure

Would you like to experience a typical Italian market day? You can every Saturday throughout the year at Pietra Ligure. You can wander and browse the market stalls on the big beautiful Piazza San Nicolò (the old town) by the church and then down the long street Viale della Repubblica, which is on the edge of the town. There is also train station in the town if you wish to arrive without a car. However there is a motorway (A10) which exits at Pietra Ligure so it's just as easy if you are arriving by car. The nearest airport is in Genoa, but the airports in Milan and Turin are relatively close.
