Hotel Villa Argentina is far away from traffic and highways. Here you can look out over the sea and the entire Riomaggiore town, dominated by the beautiful church San Giovanni Battista that dates from the 14th Century. Many of the rooms here large balconies and sea views.
The hotel's newly refurbished communal terrace boasts a fine view over the town of Riomaggiore, and on clear days you can see all the way to Corsica. Guests arriving by car can book a car parking space or garage (fees apply) just 50 metres from the hotel - which is an advantage, as most hotels in this area do not have parking. We recommend that you book parking in advance because the hotel has a limited number of spaces.

Hotel Villa Argentina definitely wasn't a disappointment! The view from the balcony (we booked one with a sea view) was fantastic, the rooms simply decorated, but nice and clean, if the purpose is to just sleep there + play games/enjoy a beer on the balcony. The common terrace is, by the way, also a hit and has a great view. Here you can eat your breakfast for example.
The hotel in itself was very nice and easy - the staff spoke English well, were kind and helpful. The breakfast was nice for the price, however not showy.
I will definitely recommend this place - however it is absolutely crucial, that you are able to walk well, if you book a stay here. Riomaggiore is steep and filled with stairs, and since the hotel is located high up to get the great view, there's lots of steep steps of twisted paths, that has to be handled, and there's no elevator or the like. You can avoid the stairs by taking a detour home - however, it is just as steep.
It is an incredibly lovely hotel with good service and attendance which helps with anything you can think of. Breakfast was incredibly good, a lot of things to choose from. The rooms were clean and the beds were good.
Fantastic view over the town and ocean. Calm and quiet area. Short way down to the train station and places to eat. OK beach in Riomaggiore, if you like stone beach with crystal clear water.
The only thing missing was some air conditioning, it was very hot in the room, even with a ceiling fan, extra fan and open doors. Would like to come back to this hotel.
