We stayed in a two bedroom apartment (sleeps four, but there were only two of us) run by the Hotel Villa Argentina.
Apartment was comfortable and clean. Large equipped kitchen (which we did not use). Large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Bathroom ok - not massive water pressure in the shower, but quite functional. Nice terrace with fine sea view (which we used a lot!).
Good location - You can arrive by car, drop off luggage, and park in handily located hotel garage/parking space (EUR 15 per day, which is reasonable in Cinque Terre). This is a big advantage in Cinque Terre, as in many hotels you have to drag your luggage a long way!
It means you have to walk down slope/steps into the town (and out again), but this is inevitable in Cinque Terre.
We had breakfast at the hotel - Buffet with good choice at reasonable rate.
The hotel owners and staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.
Very beautiful.
Try to go out of season, as the only problem is the large number of tourists.
Easy to visit - buy a rail pass for 1, 2 or 3 days; take boat to see villages from the sea.
Be aware that some of the easier and most famous walking paths are closed.
Be prepared to walk up and down (slopes and steps) a lot.
