Hotel Lido Palace is located only 20 metres from the beach in the middle of Santa Margherita's beach promenade and is a beautiful and elegant building. With such an exceptional seafront setting, of course the hotel offers superb sea views and direct access to its own private beach within a few seconds walk from the hotel.
Central and beach
Here you stay in the centre of a charming town with lots of deli's, shops, restaurants and cafes with quaint piazza's scattered around. You can take advantage of the beach right in front where you can rent sun loungers and parasols and enjoy a cool drink or lunch in the beach cafe. Staying centrally has it's good and bad points. Good is that everything is on hand, but possibly not so good is that the coastal road passes the hotel which remains busy for most of the day during peak season. However, the rooms are double glazed and there is a pedestrian crossing in front of the hotel.

Market and beaches
In the summer months you can experience various markets on the seafront which sell a variety of products including speciality food and local delicacies to clothes. Approx. 1 km away you will find a tennis courts (for a fee) and there is a golf course in Ravello approx. 4 km away. Other facilities in the area include a tennis court approx. 1 km away, and a gold course approx. 4km away. The area's best beaches can be found in Paraggi (small private / public sandy bay on the way to Portofino approx. 3 ½ miles from Santa Margherita) or in the neighbouring town of Camogli (public wide pebble beach, located with a fantastic view of Camogli's pastel-coloured row of houses and Monte Portofino Natural Park).
Accommodation and facilities
The hotel in general appears nice and presentable, but with a few non-upgraded corners. There is a reception, American Bar, lounge, Wi-Fi everywhere, internet point, a lift, a garage for a fee (about 100 metres). The hotel also has a small gym and a wellness centre (surcharges), which features a Turkish bath and massage options. Breakfast is served in the small glass extension on the ground floor with sea views
