Some would argue that it is difficult to find a Meditteranean hotel that isn't a bit worn around the edges. Well this isn't the case with the newly renovated Hotel Tigullio who offers bright and inviting rooms and a romantic ambience.
You are perfectly placed to explore the Cinque Terre National Park from here and are a stones throw from the seafront in Portofino, the central shopping area and the train station. From the street you walk a few steps down to get to the reception and bright rooms. Here you will find an information area, a lounge and reading room, internet point and a lift (and small fitness centre in the neighbouring hotel Jolanda approx. 100 m, which is under the same owner). The hotel has an agreement with a nearby car park (approximately 100 m). Note that the hotel is located on Viale Rainusso which can be a bit busy during the summer months.

Big credit to the hotel!! The receptionist and the other employees was so friendly and helpful!!
The rooms was small, but clean and neat. The breakfast was nice as well.
There is, as well as you describe it, a lot if noise from outside, but when you know it in advance, you'll get quickly used to it.
Overall a really wonderful place!
