Stay in a breathtaking natural setting

It is steeped in history and surrounded by beauty, and its location on the peninsula of Sestri Levante in its own private park is second to none. The green of the Mediterranean vegetation blends harmoniously with the colours of the sea, creating a unique contrast with the historic medieval buildings.

Everything within reach: sandy beaches, town centre, railway station ...

The hotel is situated in a panoramic position approx. 300 metres from the sandy beaches and the centre - and approx. 1 ½ km to the train station. To get down to the centre, you can either choose to stroll down through the winding streets or take a shortcut through the hotel's private elevator straight to the harbour on the street level. The private sandy beaches are located primarily in the major western bay (Baia delle Favole) while the public beach is in the picturesque, small eastern bay (Baia del Silenzio).

Magnificent parks and nature's own swimming pool

You are free to roam in this magnificent park which covers 18,000 m² and consists of old trees (including olive and pine), romantic terraces, storytelling busts and statues as well as a trail system that leads to the elevator that takes you down to the harbour. The swimming pool is carved into the rock and is open from late May to late September (depending on weather conditions). Here you will find a beautiful natural scenario with many rock formations - there are also beaches and many sun terraces, showers and changing rooms. You can hire sun beds and parasols on the beach - see price list for beach service costs.

A romantic, feature-rich hotel

The hotel caters primarily to couples due to the historical and romantic setting, but the many amenities and spacious rooms and the possibility of being able to add up to two extra beds for families with children in each room also makes the place an attractive choice for romantics with children. This is a very nice and cosy hotel with rooms spread over several buildings. The hotel has a nice bar with a lounge, billiards, an elevator and conference facilities. A big bonus is the free parking, in an area such as this where it is limited and expensive. Note that the hotel is located in the environmental zone, but guests of the hotel are permitted to drive to and from the hotel.

Dine at Ristorante ai Castelli with sea views!

From the hotel's elegant restaurant, you can enjoy views out over the bay towards Portofino with its characteristic silhouette Monte Portofino Mountain. As the day draws to a close and the light turns golden, you can't fail to appreciate the romantic atmosphere. The kitchen is definitely ahead of its time when it comes to wines and regional cuisine, especially seafood. You can either choose to dine a la carte or opt for a half board option upon arrival. Note that the restaurant from time to time may be preoccupied with weddings or other private events. The hotel restaurant is also where the breakfast buffet is available.

Pathetic!

I am very disappointed and sad after my stay at this hotel, whose performance is far from 4 starred. First and foremost I had a phone conversation with one of your employees (Claudia?), where I got convinced to relax a bit on the view of the sea, in return for a more spacious room in the old building. When I arrived, it was to a room, where the view of the sea scarcely could be seen through the trees, and the decoration were from the 1960's. Really unfortunate. I complained to the reception, who said, that these rooms belong to your agency. There was nothing in the room - no menu from the restaurant, not a piece of paper, not even a pen or a list of TV-channels. Just a single armchair, a tub with a shower curtain! Even the gel for the bath was too sparse.
The pool with seawater is actually of a minimal size, difficult to get to and a bit isolated! The prices on the garden recliners are higher than the place claim, and also higher than what your agency advertises.
All this is far from worth spending 250 Euro a night on.
I travel quite often, and it's actually the first time, I meet such a huge difference on, what you can expect, compared to, what you actually get.
You probably understands, that after this experience, I am not going to book a trip through you again.
