Vezzano Ligure rises majestically on a hill overlooking the valley of the river Magra. Vezzano is a picturesque and generally quiet village. The surrounding hills are rich with forests and green zones. Vezzano consists of two separate districts (Superiore and Inferiore), which are interconnected by the "Borgo Mitiliano". The white wine of Vezzano is famous and is greatly appreciated. The annual harvest tradition is on the third Sunday in September. It is a grape Festival with active participation of the population, where groups of the different neighborhoods test their skills in games, organized to win the "Strazo", the main prize of the festival. After Vezzano performs a rail connection from La Spezia. From Vezzano we recommend the following excursions: - Le Cinque Terre - Lerici and Portovenere - Lucca - Pisa - Viareggio
