Capriolo is a good starting point for a visit to Lake Iseo and the Franciacorta wine region. It is a sleepy little village with much charm and a scenic setting.
The vineyards of Franciacorta are best known for their sparkling wines. There is a castle high above the village Castello di Capriolo dating from the 1200's and is open to the public. There is also a bank, a post office, coffee shop and pizza takeaway.
