The hotel was totally renovated a few years ago but has managed to retain all its original charm and it has a cosy feel about it. The rooms are decorated simply but are adequate. From the large cosy sunny terrace on the first floor you can enjoy a romantic view of the small harbour with many cafes.
The big arcade in front of the hotel provides a beautiful shaded area during the hottest part of the day where you can enjoy a cool drink from the hotel bar. You can also enjoy breakfast here in the summer whilst watching the locals mill around the harbour and breakfast is a mixture of cold items. Enjoy a great view of the harbour from the large sunny terrace on the first floor.

With its central location, the hotel is ideally suited for those who want to stay in the middle of the vibrant town and be close to the harbour, and yet not suffer the noise of the main streets. An added advantage of staying at Desenzano is the fact that the town has a train station and an exceptionally large number of good restaurants and wine bars. Parking is available in the a garage a few hundred metres away from the hotel for between 6 - 9 Euros a day, and there is public parking not far away so you may even find a free space.
All of the 32 bedrooms have en suite bathroom, satellite TV, a telephone and free Wi-Fi. The rooms are rather small, but some of them have harbour views (these cost more but are worth every penny). The other rooms face a small-enclosed courtyard to the rear and some have been recently renovated. You can request one of these newer rooms but it cannot be guaranteed. It should be noted that none of the triple rooms face the harbour. Some of the rooms have only stair access, so if the use of the lift is necessary please inform the hotel when booking.

This hotel lies so nicely on the little square, and it's fantastic to sit on the little balcony with a nice glass of Italian wine and follow the life below.
The room we had was so little and door to the matching bathroom couldn't be opened fully without colliding with the sink, but that was dealt with without any big trouble.
The breakfast was a little bare, maybe because we were there in the start of September, and the coffee was practically always tepid.
