Wander the promenade

The beautiful lake promenade is adorned with coffee shops, ice cream parlours and restaurants. The towns cultural hub is Palazzo Gallio which is located at the northern end of town. This beautiful building from the middle of 16th Century is host to both concerts and exhibitions. You can also enjoy the town's market day in the centre on the first and third Wednesday of the month. There are good biking routes along the lake so this a great place from where you can start to explore Lake Como on two wheels.

Boating and excursions
From Gravedona, you can take a ferry to many of the other towns on the lake. Departures are more frequent during the peak summer. Other attractions in the area include the fashionable ski resort of St. Moritz in Switzerland, located approx. 1 ½ hour drive away. Or the historic town of Chiavenna, located on the way to St. Moritz. Here you will find many cosy coffee shops, an old town and a beautiful, rippling stream which divides the town in two.

The neighbouring town of Consiglio di Rumo, has now merged with Gravedona and their new official name is Gravedona ed Uniti.
