Monticelli Brusati is a cosy village within the much sought after wine region of Franciacorta. The special thing about this place is that you can enjoy the picturesque vineyards whilst enjoying various excursion options on Lake Iseo which is only approx. 10 km away. Here you can visit Iseo town that has both a lake promenade and a train station, or you can sail across to the Island of Monte Isola which is the largest Island in a lake in Europe. In Monticelli Brusati you will find a few restaurants and a small pharmacy - and nearby you will find many good restaurants and wine producers. Like all Italian towns, Monticelli Brusati also has a weekly market which is held every Thursday morning.
