There is also a great pool overlooking the lake, a tennis court, a small marina, a clubhouse with a bar and communal TV room.
This residence has a very special position on the side of the mountains in a lush green area that drops steeply down to the lakeshore, with a flat area of approx. 20,000 m² where the apartments sit amidst palm trees and cypresses. From the top there is an elevator that takes you down to the apartments and the swimming pool, but you can also choose to take the stairs. Parking and reception are up on the road level. There is a pizzeria on-site during the peak summer months from the end of May to the beginning of September.

The strengths of the complex lie in it's unbeatable location and great facilities, but the slight downside is that it's a little worn in places since it dates back to the 1960's. However, if you can ignore a little wear and tear, it is a paradise. The shops and restaurants are within 500 metres from here. Wireless internet is available down by the pool and the lake shore, and there are a few cots available.

- There are 14 of these apartments and they are each approx. 45 m² and have a living room with a kitchenette (fridge and four burners / hobs) and a double bed and two bedrooms with a double bed and a bathroom with toilet and shower. These apartments also have a terrace (approx. 60 m²) overlooking the lake of approx. 60 m².
A very nice place with a fantastic view over the lake. The apartments are a bit worn down, but other than that it is nice.
Located beautifully down to Lake Como, with the most breathtaking view. The place is quite old, but if it was newly renovated, the current price probably had to be tripled. But the things at the place works, and there were what we needed.
It's the second time, we were here, so we weren't frightened after our first visit.
With a terrace of 60 m2 and a very nice and comfortable appartment, club La Clava in Pognana is the best place you can wish for a holiday.
We enjoyed it very much here in Pognana. Unfortunately we'd booked for only one week because the other reviews we had seen about this place were not that good. But we don't understand how you can be negative about this place. Yes, wireless could be better (there is only free wireless at the reception or paid wireless at the swimmingpool) and in your appartment is no television. But the views and atmosphere are never better beter at Lake Como than here in Club La Clava in Pognana.
