Feast your eyes on the spectacular lakeside scenery at Residence Porto Letizia whilst you swim in the lake, or the swimming pool, explore the nearby historic village of Porlezza (400 m), and have fun with all the family at this self-sufficient holiday village on Lake Lugano.

Enjoy the lively family atmosphere

There is something for all the family, couples also with a choice of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, located either in the main building Palazzo, where there is a lift (3 floors) or they are in villa apartments located in the park Villa. They all have an outdoor area - that is, either a balcony, terrace or a garden. Palazzo apartments have air conditioning and are just about 20 m from the water, while residential apartments are located approx. 100 - 200 metres from the water depending on its location on the plot. The Villa apartments located in the park are much quieter than the residential apartments in the Palazzo building, as the cafe/bar is on the ground floor, hence there could be a some noise here especially on the weekends. However this is only until midnight. The Palazzo building also houses the reception, where you will find plenty of information about tours and places of interest to visit. Wi-fi is also available for a surcharge, as is a laundry room. There is a large free car park for guests on the site.

Buy the Club Card and go wild!

On arrival you pay a mandatory fee for a club card pass, which includes access to the swimming pool with panoramic location and a public beach on the lake which is a mixture of sand and pebbles and private sun loungers and parasols, for rent. The beach is child-friendly and is isolated away from the road and traffic. You also have access to table tennis and free bike rental (2 hours per day per person). Note that the pool is a normal size (about 8 x 15 m) and not especially large for the amount of apartments, however guests are usually fairly equally distributed across different places in the village..pool, beach, or other activities and excursions nearby.

Be entertained

Many activities are organised during the summer season (June 15 to September 10), such as stage performances, water gymnastics, games for 4 - 10 year olds, music concerts and mini-golf . You can also rent bikes, canoes and paddleboats. In addition to the beach, there is a water park only about 500 metres from the residence. In addition, there is a restaurant, Osteria del Porto, and a bar / café, Panama, which serve breakfast and dinner on a large sunny terrace on the edge of the water. Otherwise, there are other restaurants in the centre of Porlezza and about a five minute walk away you will find a supermarket Ortalli. On the Panama Beach in front of Porto Letizia parties are held on Thursday evenings during the summer season. The beach is situated in the park area a stretch away from the apartments, but you will probably be able to hear voices, music and happy people on these evenings until around 1.30 am. You are more than welcome to participate. On Sunday afternoons people gather round on the beach for an aperitivo between 5 to 22 pm.

The apartments that are not specified where they are located ie palazzo e villa can end up on either one or the other.

The apartment

It was an excellent trip, and a fantastic place, which we definitely can recommend. However, we think, that the kitchen equipment was completely unacceptable. The tableware wasn't the same, there were 2 huge pots, 1 small frying pan. So when we had to cook for 3 people, it was a challenge. And it was a good thing I brought kitchen knives with us. But next time, apparently we have to bring pots and pans, to be able to make a proper meal.
And as mentioned further down, the internet was completely unacceptable!!! We couldn't even log on :-(
Then we pointed out upon arrival to the apartment, that a lampshade was missing in the bedroom. It wasn't fixed, while we were there.

Wonderful hotel with a children friendly beach.

The hotel is just as discribed on In-Italias website. The apartment was nice and clean and had enogh space for the 5 of us.
Our view was overlooking the mountains, so it was nice and quite.
The beach is just in front of the hotel and it was clean and children friendly. The water was great! The were sunbeds for everyone!
There were a bit of loud music from the dinning place that was next to the beach.

The pool area was alright, but the beach was amazing! Overall a really good place to stay during your vacation.

Nice place

We enjoyed Porto Letizia in a good way. The apartment was clean and the garden provided us a wonderful sea view! The way to the lake is very short! The food in the corresponding restaurant very fine! We booked through In-Italia and were so pleased!
On Thursday a beach party took place with loud music, but this did not bother us, you have free and our boys (12- and 10 years old) liked it.
So all together a nice place!

Fantastic view

The view towards the lake is worth all the money spent... There is a bit of noise at the cafe in front of the main building, but it is a bit cheerful. A really good place if you have small children, since it is peaceful and manageable. There is no kid-pool, though.
Needed a couple of good restaurants in town.

Paradise in wonderful Italy

We have, again this year, visited this amazing place. We chose to go to the same place, since we only were here for a week in 2014. We spent all 14 days at Porta Letizia, and it was, as the previous year, absolutely astonishing!! You live by the most wonderful lake with totally clear water to swim in, and not to mention the absolutely fantastic placement amongst the beautiful mountains. It is a mountain-paradise!
There are countless amounts of activities and trips. We drove here by ourselves both years, and have experienced a ton of things. Anything from trips to other lakes to shopping trips in Milan and Switzerland. I want to recommend this fantastic place to any and all. It has good rooms/apartments and hotel rooms with air conditioning - but if you bring the kids there are also plenty of activities for them, since the hotel has people hired to play and entertain them several times a day... There is a delicious restaurant and cafe with really good food and even sweeter staff (who remembers you from the previous year ;) ). All employees are super sweet and helpful, and you really feel welcome. We are super satisfied. My husband, our 2 bots and I will definitely return to this paradise on Earth...

All right apartment complex in fantastic surroundings

We visited Porto Letizia in July 2015 and had a lovely holiday, 2 adults and 3 small children. We lived in an apartment with 2 rooms, which generally was of really fine quality.

The area itself is really nice, with high, dramatic mountainsides around it. The lake beach isn't as big, and used by a lot of locals, but it is generally okay and clean.
