The site dates back to the 1500's and the building looks today pretty much like it did back then. The only difference is that back then there were no tourists, but instead a wine cellar, farmhouses and stables. Masserino was completely refurbished in 2003 - the main source of income is still producing wine and olive oil, but now there are also four small cosy cottages, located on the 2nd floor with wonderful views of the area.
The farm is located on a private road in the midst of 30 hectares of vineyards and olive groves - but it is only a few hundred metres to the road which runs between Desenzano and Salò and therefore easy to get out and about to explore the area and the many quaint towns on Lake Garda. As a guest of Masserino you have access to a small garden, located next to the vineyards. Within the gardens are three pavilions with tables, chairs and a barbeque where you can relax and dine in the open air.

You have the chance to buy the products from the agriturismo when you stay here which includes oil and wine. There is a small office where you check in upon arrival and here you can also find plenty of information about events and festivals in the region during the period when you are on holiday. The first floor serves as a private residence, and the four apartments are located on the 2nd floor, which you can access via a large spiral staircase.
