Residence La Azalee is fantastically located with a wonderful view. The apartments are of a very good standard. There's nice and clean, and you get a heartfelt welcome. You shouldn't count on cooking a lot yourselves every day, since the kitchenware is insufficient, but for simple dishes you can manage. The surroundings make up for this though.
There's paths up and down the mountain and you get some beautiful experiences, walking along the paths. We were so lucky, there was an opera at the other side of Lake Como, which we could hear. It was a very special experience, sitting a warm evening and gazing out over the lake with the towns shining like beads on a string, while you're listening to opera. Fantastic!!!
Nice apartment with a lovely view of the lake and mountains from the balcony.
Very clean and well functioning, but as expected the kitchen was not well equipped. We had knives and scissors from home, which was good, because there were only tableware and a few other things. A casserole, for example, would've been nice. On the other hand we got Hotelmutter buy a toaster and although it was a toaster we wanted, it was nice service. (For gluten-free bread).
The staff were overall sweet and service minded.
Wi-Fi did not work the first week and they regretted it a lot and we had to use their private net by their home instead.
The pool is very small, but nice nevertheless, as it was very hot while we were there.
There is some noise from local traffic up / down the mountain, from dogs barking and from watercraft on the lake.
We also "enjoyed "a 4-day local music event in Domaso, with very loud music several evenings.
We missed air conditioning or ceiling fans, but it is reportedly rare that is as hot as this year.
The drive to the parking lots is very steep and worn and several were challenged here.
