The Chignoni farm is located in the hills around Apecchio, approx 5 km from the main road towards Città di Castello. It enjoys a beautiful position with lovely views over lush green woods. The farm stretches for more than 200 hectares with woods and pasture.
The farm comprises three character stone houses built in the 18th century, retaining the original feel of an old fashioned country home.
- One house is occupied by the owners of the farm. They make delicious hams and fine pecorino goat's cheese. They also collect and sell truffles and other produce from the woods.
- A second house is used solely as a store room.
- The third and last house is today converted into three large apartments, with a connecting door so the house can be rented in its entirety and that way accommodate up to 22 people.

There is a pleasant room available to guests in the old wine cellar where you can relax in an atmospheric setting. It is also the communal dining area if you book the entire place for a large group. Outside, you can sunbathe and rest on the terrace at the beautiful pool, overlooking the valley.
The apartments are spacious and magnificently furnished by the daughter who works as a restorer. The original features, including exposed ceiling beams and terracotta floors, were preserved as far as possible during restoration. Add to this the fact that the apartments are furnished with old restored pieces and you'll understand this is a charming and atmospheric place to stay.
Il Cerro Vecchio is the smallest apartment in Chignoni. It is only 120 m²! The apartment is in the same building as the two larger apartments, but has its own entrance. From the apartment there is a lovely view of the nearby hills and swimming pool. Il Cerro Vecchio consists of a dining room, kitchen with dishwashing machine, a smaller living room, large bathroom and two large bedrooms.

Lovely farm, lovely location. A bit remote, but if you are after peace and quiet it's perfect. Clean and cosy. Well kept pool area.
