Five newly refurbished holiday apartments are situated in Casale Torre del Sasso by the Apennines between Gubbio and Urbino. The apartments are on the outskirts of the town of Cagli and are surrounded by woods and fields.
Casale Torre del Sasso was built in the 15th century as a watch tower and constituted part of Cagli's defences. The apartments are close to the ancient Roman road Via Flaminia, and the area still shows traces of the Roman Empire. The atmospheric medieval towns of Urbino and Gubbio are approx. 30 minutes drive away, and Assisi one hour and 30 minutes by car. The famous Adriatic beaches of Pesaro and Fano are 40-60 km away. If you are interested in caves you should certainly consider a visit to the Frasassi grottos.

Mario and his wife Eriberta own and manage the farm. They have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Around the apartments there is a great park and a garden with roses and pomegranates as well as a swimming pool. Try the nice walks or mountain bike rides along the river or in the hills. It is also possible to go swimming in several places along the river.
The apartments are well furnished in traditional country style. All the apartments have safety deposit box, satellite TV and outdoor barbeque. The three bedroom apartments have outdoor space in front of the door, whilst the two largest apartments have their patio in the spacious garden around the house. All apartments have outdoor furniture.

It is on the ground floor and consists of a kitchen with access to a stone oven outside, large living room with a vaulted ceiling, living room with double sofa bed and direct access to the garden, bedroom with double bed, another bedroom between the living room and the first bedroom with double sofa bed, bathroom with shower and extra toilet.
Is approx. 180 square metres and sleeps eight on two floors. On the first floor there is a large living room with fireplace, kitchen-dining room, bedroom with double bed and own bathroom, bedroom with double bed, and sleeping loft sleeps 2. In the tower on the second floor is an extra bedroom.
Our holiday was very nice. The place is like paradise. The accomodation is very nice, but not for 9 people ( not enough real beds and not enough glasses and so on). The kitchen and the bathrooms should be more up to date. ( douche cabin very small, no dishwasher and washmachine). It was also a pity that the bridge to the village was broke down. The owner did not tell us about it. However, we did have a pleasant stay in Torre del Sasso.
