Armeno is located in the hills around 4 km east of Lake Orta on the way to Lake Maggiore. The area is rich in natural beauty and is very suitable for hiking and biking adventures. For example, you can visit the Mottarone Mountain, which is just approx. 14km away and enjoy the panoramic views of the 7 surrounding lakes.
Armeno has approx. 1,600 inhabitants and is located 525 m above sea level. The town has very few tourists, actually none would be a better count! Here you will not find chaos and traffic jams like those that we see in Rome and Milan. In the middle of the town you will find a market square with a bank, a grocery store, a pharmacy and a beautiful 12th century church with frescoes.
